Wide Wide World of Social Studies

Maps, Flags, Community Helpers, and the Okefenokee Swamp are just part of the Wide Wide World of Social Studies! 

This unique workshop will show you how to integrate experiences your preschool students will love while you achieve the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards for Social Studies. 

In the Wide Wide World of Social Studies, teachers will discover Social Studies isn’t boring. They will also realize Social Studies isn’t just for the upper elementary students.  

Participants will gather activities for large group circle time and for small groups when Learning at the Teacher Table. They will also receive new and exciting ideas for independent centers. Best of all, the workshop handouts include a sample lesson plan on our wonderful state of Georgia!
